Street View

Google Maps is getting better.
Check out Street View.
The little Camera Icon shows cities where Street View Data has been uploaded.
Yesterday I had to go to a Little League meeting. Well it was located in a Church in Norco that I had not been to before.
When I punched up the address, there was a picture showing just what the Church looked like, how the driveway was situated. Very Cool.
Here's an Uber dork in an orange Jumpsuit that explains how it works.
There are bound to be more sightings soon.

Photosynth

I'm not sure how useful Photosynth is, but I am sure that we will see more of it.
Worth the download of the .exe file.
I like the VAB collection.

Ascii Force

Now you can watch Star Wars from the command prompt.
Somebody took a lot of time to do this, and the Ascii art is pretty good.
Go to Start > Run.
  1. In the Run box, type “cmd” ( without the quotes ) and hit OK to open the command prompt windows.
  2. Within command prompt, type “telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl” ( without the quotes ) and hit ENTER.
  3. Sit back and watch the show. Oh ya, grab some popcorns also.

RPN Rocks

I have been using my 11C for years and years now.
It's always there on the desk.
I really don't know what year I bought it, but it was in the eighties.
I can't think of any other Electronic item that still works from that era.
Nobody "borrows it" not many people even know how to use it. My boss occasionally does, he has an even older model the HP41C that he still uses daily. I just found out that a fellow blogger uses a similar style. The HP15C.
I wanted to look up the 15C and I remembered that there is a nice internet museum on HP calculators.

I'll Stumble for ya

StumbleUpon
You tell it what your interests are, and it links to different websites.
I like it, you can give it a thumbs up or thumbs down and I guess it modifies what it suggests later.
Great for Websurfing.

What?, I know that I am American, but I only get a B-

You Are 79% American

You're as American as red meat and shooting ranges.

Tough and independent, you think big.

You love everything about the US, wrong or right.

And anyone who criticizes your home better not do it in front of you!
