Alternative Fuel

So My wife's Minivan is a 2001 Grand Caravan.
Well it says right in the owners manual that it is a dual fuel vehicle.
Here is the problem, There is only one Station selling alternative fuel whithin 100 miles of our house.
According to the Locator on a Government website.

Well it just doesn't make sense to drive 85 miles to fill up with E85 now does it.

Next time I am down there I am gonna look up that station just to see how it affects gas mileage.

Pigeon Peck Rankings

Of course I am a fan of Google.
I've always wondered how they get the information so quickly.
The answer apparently, is Pigeons.
Who would have thought winged rats actually had a purpose on this planet. ;-)

20 Years Later

The worlds worst Nuclear accident happened 20 years ago in Chernobyl.

There's got to be a better way.

Elena has a haunting website dedicated to a motorcycle trip through the affected countryside.

How Bill Gates Works

This article on How Bill Gates works makes me wonder.
What Email address does Bill Gates use?
I mean every yahoo out there has emailed fake emails to Bgates@msn.com.

Kinda sad that he has that nice desktop, but he can't use Firefox.
Can Bill even use Google?
Doubt that he reads Blogger.
I really am in the dark but I think that in the Microsoft halls Google and Mozilla are persona non grata.
I imagine it's kinda like back in Detroit if you showed up to work driving a Japanese import, you may not have a job the next day.

Who owns the Internet?

Who owns the Internet pipes? by ZDNet's Dan Farber -- Ben Worthen of CIO has an interesting post about who in the context of the Net Neutrality debate. He worked with Lumeta's chief scientist Bill Cheswick to create a map of the North American Internet backbone, including 134,855 routers, colored by telecom company (Verizon, AT&T, Qwest, Level 3, Sprint Nextel, cable companies, smaller players).Worthen concludes that while AT&T and Verizon have [...]

A380 Update

Airbus A380

One thing cool from the flightdeck photo is that it looks like there is a camera mounted high up in the tail showing a view of most of the plane from a unique perspective.
You can also see by the GPS screen that the aircraft in the photo is in France.
Here is a Link of a movie on the assembly of the aircraft.

This guy at elephantstaircase.com has instructions on how to make an Ice Shot glass.

Car of the Month

The Ford Fusion
I am not really that much into Sedans, but this looks like it may be able to compete with Imports.
I like the Wheels too.
Even Edmunds.com has something good to say.
